A full-service wealth management firm based in Atlanta

As an independent firm, Rinzler Capital has the ability to leverage modern technology to best serve our clientele. We are not affiliated with or sponsored by any other firms. We deliver our plans and conduct our wealth management without the bias of commissions or asset minimums. We charge a flat dollar fee regardless of your net worth and investable assets.

Who We Serve

Medical Residents
Residency is often the hardest 4+ years of a physician’s life. The training is brutal and leaves little time to focus on one’s finances. We work with residents for a discounted fee to help them build good habits that will lead to long-term financial success as an attending.

Attending Physicians
Congratulations, you’ve made it. Now that you’ve taken your first job, prepare to be targeted by every financial sector in the country. This is because, as a physician, every salesperson knows your earnings qualify you as an “accredited investor,” allowing them to solicit every financial product under the sun. We act as a first layer of protection against these solicitations and allow you to focus on the goals outlined within our plan. We primarily serve young attendings in the first half of their careers.

Our Financial Plans and Services Include

We’ll look for ways to reduce your tax burden, both on your way to retirement and while you’re in it. We enjoy working in tandem with a client’s CPA to ensure every aspect of your financial life is aligned.

We’ll build a plan and portfolio that align with not only your numerical goals for retirement but also your life goals. Whether it’s traveling, becoming an expatriate, or opening a “quiet business,” the plan will lead to that freedom.

Our investment philosophy is focused primarily on three important attributes:

  • Low Cost:
We spread investment exposure across a number of low-cost asset ETFs. As an industry veteran, Joseph has worked on many financial products—some expensive, some cheap—and a higher fee never represented a higher likelihood of success.

  • Predictability:
The financial markets can be unpredictable. From 2010 to 2024, we’ve seen swings as low as -40% and highs of +30%. The difference between those outcomes makes projecting a financial plan very difficult. The products we use aim to reduce volatility throughout the year, allowing us to get as close as possible to our plan projections.

  • Liquidity:
Life happens, whether it’s a worst-case scenario in your personal life or a new and exciting opportunity. We build our portfolios using highly liquid instruments, meaning when we want to sell or buy, we can do so without incurring significant fees, commissions, or spreads.

We’ll work closely with your insurance broker (or find you one) to fill any gaps in the risk management of your life. If you’re part of a multiple-income household, it’s wise to manage the risks to your financial plan if something were to happen. We’ll ensure the insurance coverage required isn’t an overpay or underpay but just right for the plan. This generally includes insurance products like term life insurance, umbrella insurance, and, for some, disability insurance.

As a client, you’ll be able to consult with our team on any financial matters. Whether it’s a standard request or something less common, we’ll determine that during our conversation. Here are some popular, less common requests:

  • Estate planning
  • Employee benefits, including 401(k) selections
  • Charitable giving
  • Debt repayment strategies
  • Employee ISO and RSU decisions
